Plans are advancing for a new residential building in Friendship Heights. Donohoe has submitted a planned unit development (PUD) application to DC for a 127-unit project at 4201 Garrison Street NW, just off Wisconsin Avenue. Initial details were shared with the public in March.

The five-story building will feature a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, along with a penthouse level that includes about 500 square feet of amenity space and an outdoor terrace. Designed by Torti Gallas Urban, the development will also offer an underground parking garage with 82 spaces, in addition to six short-term and 38 long-term bicycle parking spots.

This project will replace an acre-sized asphalt lot located behind another Donohoe development. A six-story, 210-unit project at 5151 Wisconsin Avenue NW, the former WTTG-Fox 5 headquarters, has already been approved by DC’s Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) and is currently awaiting permitting.
