Akridge and National Real Estate Development have revealed the initial fitness and office additions to The Stacks in Washington, D.C.: Launch Workplaces, a provider of coworking and flexible office solutions, alongside a new community gym concept from Balance Gym and FLEX.
Co-owned by Akridge, Bridge Investment Group, Blue Coast Capital, and institutional funds managed by National, the first phase of The Stacks is set to be completed in early 2025 in D.C.’s rapidly developing Buzzard Point neighborhood.
The teams from Balance Gym and FLEX will open a new 10,000-square-foot gym, while Launch Workplaces will introduce an 11,000-square-foot modern coworking space at The Stacks.
The first phase will encompass approximately 1 million square feet of mixed-use development, featuring over 1,100 apartment units, a 15,000-square-foot public park, and 300,000 square feet of underground parking.
